My name is Bill Jakes and I am a life-long resident of Murfreesboro, TN. I’ve lived in the Downtown community for over seven years and I am active in my community. It is my goal with this WordPress page to promote the lifestyle of living Downtown. I thoroughly enjoy my hometown and I see it growing in promising new directions. I am a Realtor with Exit Realty, Bob Lamb & Associates and I specialize in historic homes because I have a construction background and a love of architecture and history. I personally remodeled the 1923 bungalow that my family lives in and it was a catalyst that fueled my growing passion for my town and my profession. Shortly after completing the remodel of my house I began writing a history book to promote the history of Murfreesboro and it’s people. It is my hope that you enjoy the content of this site.
